Who am I?

My name is Rev. Vimala and I am from the Eastern part of Shan State, Union of Burma. I am doing my undergraduate degree at Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka and this year is the last year of my degree.

I am a Buddhist monk and as a monk I have 221 rules to follow as long as I stay in a monk-hood. Among the 221 rules there are four significant rules that I never ever cannot break. And if I dare to break them my monk-hood will be automatically broken as well.

As a Buddhist monk, I study the Pali subject as Buddha preached his doctrine in Pali language which is known as Magadhi language and it is necessary for every monk to be perfect in Pali language. And another subject is Buddhist Philosophy. Mainly this subject focuses on how to solve the social problems in accordance with Buddhist perspective. And the last subject is English because English is a very important language to communicate with the world.

To sum up, I am a student and I love being a student and studying. Because I am myself and the lovely freedom is almost in my hand.
